Born in Hamilton, Ontario, Mia Lane was employed
for seven years as a graphic artist with the Halton Region Conservation Authority.
Today she works from her home in Adolphustown, near Bath, Ontario, where she also breeds
and trains Border Collies. The colour and life which fill her paintings of animals
come from careful study and years of observation.
